• I created a micro instance (free tier) on Google Cloud Platform and registering the domain name on Namecheap.com

I followed the steps in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12hJynECi4s
At the 33 minute mark in the video, the domain name is linked to succesfully to the VM instance. However for me, the site does not show up in the broswer, only the following message:

    2020 Copyright. All Rights Reserved.

The Sponsored Listings displayed above are served automatically by a third party. Neither Parkingcrew nor the domain owner maintain any relationship with the advertisers.

    Privacy Policy

How can I solve it? Is it relating to GCP, Namecheap or something else?

    Kind regards,
    Daniel

    P.S
I tried a few times before with these GCP instances. The closest I got was an infinite looping of redirecting

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • If you want to use Google Cloud nameservers, you need to add your domain in Cloud DNS too, so far you only change the domain’s nameservers in your Namecheap account and it’s not enough.

Make sure the values here are not returning any error messages (the ones in red): https://intodns.com/intellectualdicussions.com

If you want to use Namecheap’s nameservers, you only need to modify the domain’s DNS A record, make sure the A record is your Google Cloud external IP address.

After making changes, you would need to wait for the propagation.

Actually I had already tried adding the Cloud DNS too, both an A record and a CNAME record as per: https://cloud.google.com/dns/docs/quickstart

Found the error. Had spelled the Domain Name wrong missing an “S” in discussion.
    Embarrasing ??
