Changing input text font color in forms "appsum theme"

HI,
I I am currently using the appsum theme and am having trouble with the input text and the field background being the same color when I try to fill out a form . For example; contact form. I have read the many other forum fixes in regards to this however the offered support does not seem to line up with the app sum frame work. Anyone out there have any simple fixes for this issue.
