    Hey team,

I am hoping to update my podcast image. Are there any specific things to watch out for? Or will the change just happen automatically once the directories update? I am also hoping to remove podcast title numbers from all my episodes. Is this an easy fix? Or could this cause problems on apple’s end?

Also, I heard that there is still a way to include the title numbers in the RSS Feed. How would I go about this? Are there any benefits from doing this?

    Thanks for the support!

    Hi maxlwie,

Assuming you’re using the default podcast feed generated by PowerPress, you can follow the steps shown in this video to update your show artwork:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N1abn9LqTEU

Make sure your new artwork file conforms to these specs:
*1400px square to 3000px square image size
    *RGB color space
*JPG or PNG format (JPG tends to work better)
    *File size under 500k

The only way you can remove episode numbers from your individual episode titles will be to manually edit each one of the Podcast Episode Posts on your WordPress site and remove the numbers.

There is an option to add episode numbers to your podcast RSS feed. Doing so will show the episode numbers within podcast apps/platforms that currently support the episode-number tag (not all apps/platforms do this yet). Follow these steps to add episode numbers to your podcast RSS feed:
1.) Log in to your WordPress site
2.) Go to PowerPress >> Settings, Advanced Mode >> Episodes tab
3.) Find the dropdown menu next to “iTunes Episode Title Field” and set it to “Show Field”
4.) Find the dropdown menu just under that, next to “iTunes Episode Number, Season and Type Fields” and also set it to “Show Field”
5.) Click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page
6.) In the Podcast Episode box of your Posts, you’ll now see a field called “iTunes Title” where you’ll add your episode title WITHOUT the episode number
7.) Enter the episode number in the iTunes Episode Number field
8.) If your podcast is seasonal, enter the season number into the Season field; if your podcast isn’t seasonal, leave this field blank
9.) Select the episode type in the Type dropdown menu, unless your episode is specifically a Bonus or Trailer episode, leave this menu set to the default value of Full

Steps 6-9 must be repeated for all of your episodes.
