Changing homepage post to not display "comments", etc.

    Hello!

    I’m trying to change my homepage to not display “January 25, 2013 . No comments” in the post section. In fact, I don’t even need it to be a “post”. I am really just wanting to have text and graphics displayed, no response comments needed.

    The website is: https://www.clermontchurch.com. I’m fairly new to wordpress but know a little bit about coding (not a ton).

    I can’t seem to make this info go away! I really just need the “Welcome!” header, some text below (2-3 sentences) and the 3 pictures. Please help! How do I do this? I tried creating a static page, but I seem to lose the rotating graphics at the top.
