changing heading 3 style

You should be able to just add your own h3 style to your child theme. You might try placing this in your child theme style sheet – just change it to suit your needs.

.entry-content h3, .comment-content h3 {
    font-size: 10px;
    letter-spacing: 0.1em;
    line-height: 2.6em;
    text-transform: uppercase;
}

thanks for that. Can I ask you, where do you get the css selector from, I mean how do you know it is .entry-content etc

not sure what tool @claytonjames uses,
but you could try working, for instance, with:
– Firebug https://getfirebug.com/
– or Firefox’ web developer add-on https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/web-developer/,
– or Chrome’s right-click ‘inspect element’
– or one of the other possible browser tools.

I use firebug quite a bit.

the h2s are
font-size: 20px; font-weight: bold;
and not text-transform: uppercase;

example:

.entry-content h3, .comment-content h3 {
    font-size: 20px;
    letter-spacing: 0.1em;
    line-height: 2.6em;
font-weight: bold;
text-transform: none;
