• I’m using Dots by Alex King. I’d like to change the header to something more unique, or to even a simple white background with either a logo on top or use the basic template lettering. Any ideas? Thanks.

It is an Adobe Photoshop JPEG file, could that be the problem? If it is, I don’t know how to convert it to a regular JPEG.

Sorry I was thinking of height. In the CSS its set at 200. If you are over that it wont load – but really I am stabbing in the dark.

Yeah, I made the file exactly 760px x 200px as specified. I see in the template where I could change the paths from Kubrick to my own files, but it seemed like it was supposed to be automatic.

Here is what I would do if I was using the default. I would cut all that CSS stuff out of the index.php. Then I would paste it where it belongs in the CSS. Then I would tidy it, take out the tabs and make it more readable. Then I would be able to see what the heck is meant to go where. And if I needed any help other folks could read my CSS in toto . without having to open a mess of php files.

Thank you, Root. I acutally just went ahead and manually changed the Kubrickheader.jpg to personalheader.jpg. That worked. The only proble was that for a photo it needed to be 740px x 200px, not the specified 760px x 200px.

    Thanks, again.

Hello. I changed the Kubrick blue background with an individual “personalheader”. Unfortunately the picture exceeds the original frame of the Kubrick background. Any suggestions to adjust that it perfectly fits in the place?

(I already tried various length/width settings with no effect – including this 740px x 200px setting). Thank you.

Well, I found a solution that fit my needs. It may help others, too.
    1. use any (I suppose) photo manipulating software on hand
    2. open the original Kubik header in this program and cut the content out, so the “frame” remains.
    3. open the picture you wish, and fit it in the remaining “frame” (not in technical terms).
    4. Save the new image – the Kubick “frame” and your picture – and name it “personalheader.jpg”.
    5. Store it on your database.

It helped me to solve the problem quickly. It seems not to be the “state-of-the-art-solution”, as if you change the background colour from grey to else, the “frame” will remain grey, as it is part of the picture.

Should anybody find the “high tech solution”, I am glad hearing from you.
