• we want to change the picture on individual pages from the picture on the default picture. how do we do this change. we are using the Twenty Ten Theme.

  • twenty ten is set to use the featured image of a page (or post) if the dimensions of the featured image are at least the dimensions of the header image (i think: 940 * 198 px in the standard twenty ten)

    That is correct. Attach an image (of at least 940px x 198px) to the Post, then assign that image as the “Featured Image”.

    Then, when you view the single-post view, the header image will be your “Featured Image”.
