    i’ve deleted my domain and database from my host, but still have folders and files showing in ftp with permissions 644 b/c of a hacker. i can’t change them to 755 and delete.

    i want these gone. how?

  • you should be able to delete files with permissions of 644. If you cannot, than you aren’t the owner of them. If you have root, su to root and delete them — if you dont have root, contact the host, and ask them to delete them.

    My main domain folder was set to 555. I was able to change permissions to 755 there and delete that inside the wordpress platform’s themes tab.
