Hi, I am using the Google analytics dashboard for WP Plugin. Under the settings options after installing the Plugin there are entries in the General view that need populating. Entries such as All Web site data, Tracking ID and Default URL. The site has recently been changed to reflect HTTPS from HTTP, the plugin Really easy SSL was used to help with changing entries to reflect this view. The field Default URL is showing in display mode only, as well as showing the site to still be HTTP. I want to change this entry to show the site as HTTPS. I can see an options to clear the authorisation as well as cache and debug errors. If I change the authorisation will this then allow me to make the changes as needed? or will it create issues with the already active Google analytics set up for the site?
    Regards

  • Hi,

Please follow the procedure described on plugin’s FAQ.

Hi Alin Marcu, I followed the procedure as directed on the plugin’s FAQ. The field entry in the general settings in the WordPress dashboard view of Google Analytics is still showing the URL as HTTP.
I re-checked the procedure and all field changes are reflected as per your plugin FAQ.
It does not appear to be defaulting as expected.
All other entries in the site are reflecting as HTTPS.
Any ideas on next steps, please?

    Hi,

Have you updated the URL on both Property and View settings.

The thing is that the settings are retrieved from your Google Analytics account, so you’ve definitely missed one of the two settings.

    Hi again, Alin Marcu
I re-checked the entries as per your suggestion, the view entry was still HTTP.
I went through the process as per supplied by yourself once again, all worked without problems.
I can only think that i did not press save previously (end user error) sorry about that.
All now OK, thank you for your prompt responses to my queries.

Thats does the trick for me, thanks!

FYI: The link to the FAQ results in 404 (https://deconf.com/how-do-i-refresh-update-the-select-view-list/#switch-https).
