Changing from plugin to another form plugin

I was wanting to know, if I have a form plugin installed and have some forms created, but then want to deactivate it and try another one to see if I like it better, will I loose everything I did in the other form plugin? I thought as long as I did not delete the plugin all my settings and CSS coding will still be there if I wanted to reuse it again. I know I will have to change the shortcut code for the form on the pages I want to use it on. But just wanted to get someone’s take on it since I am still getting used to WordPress..
