    Hello,

If I want to send an automated email to a user who signs up to receive my email newsletters, how do I change/specify the font used in that email? There are several other customization options, but I don’t see one for fonts. I only see the fonts for the submission form itself on the “Visibility” page.

    Thank you!

    Hello @kaitlinkma,

I hope you’re doing great today, and thanks for the question!

There’s no similar font selection option for the emails indeed.

The main reason is that often email clients ignore custom fonts, by blocking @font-face, and external CSS rules. For instance, Gmail even removes styles required for loading Google fonts. Same with Hotmail, Outlook, etc.

Next thing to keep in mind is that if you specify a font, which is not web-based, that particular font may not be installed on a user’s device. And if the specified font is not installed, then a fallback default font will be used instead.

Therefore, when it comes to emails, the easiest way seems to be sticking to the default fonts installed on the user’s device, and used by their email client.

I hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any questions.

    Best Regards,
    Dmytro
