Changing domain name

  • I have a wordpress site with a .in TLD. I would like to transfer all the data to a .com site and redirect all links from .in to .com. Is it possible to do so without having to take additional hosting for the .com site?

  • You could have a redirect in place, but the files then would need to be hosted on the .com.

    If your intention is to have everything working on the .com tld, then ideally you would need to have hosting on it.

    You might also want to look into ‘wild-card redirects’ after everything is moved over to keep the linking urls the same.
