Hello: I am trying to change the default avatar on my site. I have a child theme and so I tried to figure out where I could just have wordpress access a different image. I am using twentyeleven theme and could not find where to change the image that wordpress would use.

I then tried another tactic; and that was the plugin “Add New Default Avatar [Emrikol’s Fork]” and that did work. And so I thought I was all set. But for some bizarre reason that plugin stopped working (I think yesterday). I didnt change anything on the site so do not know why it stopped working. But anyway, can anyone help me with changing something in my child theme that will have it use a different image file? What file it is?

    Thanks so much,

    Gerard

If you link your webpage with the problem, it’s easier for forum users to diagnose why your plugin has stopped.

well the website is https://charismaarts.com; but I would really like to do this another way. Does anyone know how to do this using a child theme? Or by naming my new file a certain name and replacing it with the one that is there right now in wordpress. I deactivated the plugin so I dont know that it can be diagnosed now; but I know this could be done another way if I just knew where to do it. I can reactivate the plugin if you think that is the best option but I would rather go another route. If the plugin fails now then we cannot count on it and I would rather go with something more reliable. I just was not able to figure out where. Please let me know about this…

    thanks,

    Gerard
