Changing default admin url is not working

  • Hi,

    When i am using the built in feature hide backend, i am changing the default url and its giving me an ok message. However i am trying to login with the new url and its gives me the error:
    Not Found
    The requested URL /example was not found on this server.

    After that i am not able to login even with the wp-admin.
    Once i disable that feature i am able to login again.

    Anything specific that i need to check?

    same here.

    When I activate the feature, the requested URL /example gives me an 404. Same with wp-login-php and /wp-admin/ (as it should).

    When I rename the folder of iThemes Security, I’m able to access my standard-login (wp-login.php) and do a login. Then I rename the folder back to its standard name an enable the plugin again, I can deactivate the hide backup-feature.

    Any hints on that?
