Changing Currency (Not in drop down list)

Thanks for the response, though I was expecting for a more immediate solution (some code snippet) rather than waiting for a new release.

The currency I need included is GHS for Ghanaian Cedi.

But there are 170 (or so) ISO currencies, plus a few non-ISO but widely used currencies out there. So if you’re going to work on this, why not solve the problem once and for all, rather than adding one currency at a time upon request?

Maybe the humble “OTHER” text field for the user to enter any string as currency symbol and name would do the trick. Of course this will involve more work than simply adding one more currency, but will also save you time and your users frustration down the road.

I started out with adding just the currencies accepted by paypal.
Adding more is not a problem, but since you didn’t specify in your original request which currency you were talking about, I couldn’t give you a code snippet.
I’ll add yours this evening, together with all ISO currencies I can find.

I added the possibility to edit the currency list being shown, see here:

The readme.txt contains an example to add GHS to the list (and in the same way you can remove others from the list).
