Changing contributors and authors templates…
-
I have two aims : changing contributors.php and authors.php, using my child theme based on twenty fourteen.
I already created a contributors.php in my child folder. It is very different than the original one, but I cannot see any change on my site. There is someone there who could explain me why?
This is the content of my actual contributors.php file in the child’s theme:
<?php /** * Template Name: Contributor Page * * @package WordPress * @subpackage Twenty_Fourteen * @since Twenty Fourteen 1.0 */ get_header(); ?> <div id="main-content" class="main-content"> <div id="primary" class="content-area"> <div id="content" class="site-content" role="main"> <?php // Start the Loop. while ( have_posts() ) : the_post(); ?> <article id="post-<?php the_ID(); ?>" <?php post_class(); ?>> <?php the_title( '<header class="entry-header"><h1 class="entry-title">', '</h1></header><!-- .entry-header -->' ); // Output the authors list. twentyfourteen_list_authors('exclude_admin=1&hide_empty=1'); edit_post_link( __( 'Edit', 'twentyfourteen' ), '<footer class="entry-meta"><span class="edit-link">', '</span></footer>' ); ?> </article><!-- #post-## --> <?php // If comments are open or we have at least one comment, load up the comment template. if ( comments_open() || get_comments_number() ) { comments_template(); } endwhile; ?> </div><!-- #content --> </div><!-- #primary --> </div><!-- #main-content --> <?php
As you will see, I delete three elements from the original contributors.php file:
<?php if ( is_front_page() && twentyfourteen_has_featured_posts() ) { // Include the featured content template. get_template_part( 'featured-content' ); } ?> get_sidebar(); get_footer();
I supposed that I have to make something more but I don’t know what…
