Changing colour of pages widget background??

  • On my website: https://www.symposiarch.org, you will notice on the sidebar that I have a pages widget enabled.
    Using coda 2 I went into the custom.php file and changed the widget_pages background to #F0F0F0, but despite doing this my website continues to display the pages background as #E1E1E1.
    Why is this happening? How can I fix it? Thank you in advance!!
