changing color for font-awesome icons

If you’re using the Threaded Layout you can use the “Forum Color” option. It’s located on the Forum add/edit section. Just find the “Additional Options” section. In the case of other layouts, you can do it is CSS codes.

I’d like to color the icons but not change the forum colors.

The option changes the color of the icons in the threaded layout, please see the screenshot below:

How do I change the icon in Extended format? (We don’t want to use Threaded format.)

It doesn’t matter what layout you use. The icon changing option is located in the Forum Edit screen, you should choose a font-awesome icon class and put it in the corresponding field:

I know how to change the forum icon.

What I don’t know: how to change the color of the forum icon in “Extended” format. Changing the color for “Additional Options” doesn’t changed the icon color in Extended format.

You should change the color of the icons via CSS code. If you leave your forum URL, we’ll provide you the example of the CSS code you can use.
