i want to change the banner in my site. the banner i wanna use has its own text. so i ll hav to edit layout.css as mentioned in the blix help file. but i am not sure what i have to delete in the layout.css file
the instruction in the help file is:-
    ————————————————–
Just drop your own banner called header_bg.jpg into images/spring_flavour/ and you’re done. Dimensions should be at least 690px x 150px.

If your custom banner already include’s your blog’s name, open layout.css, go to line 146 and remove the comments (/* … */). That’s it.
    —————————————————-

do i hav to delete entire line 146??

  • First, how about pasting line 146 in here so we can see what it contains.

Second, the instructions say to remove the comments, not the line, try that first after making a copy of the file. If the results are not what you wanted, then revert back and try a different approach.

No harm in trying things you know..:)

ok i did it. this prob is resolved.
    btw, line 146 had this–
/*display:none; This will hide the text in your header */
i removed the slashes and the asterisks and got results.
