    Dear all,

here my last question for today.

I wanted to differenciate the parts of my index page to be the following way.

    h2

    paragraph

    other color

    h2

    paragraph

So meaning always a certain background colour for one part of the page. I only find where I can change the background of the text. But I want to have it full size the background. Hope you understand what I am trying to say?

Thank you in advance and let me know if you need any further information.

    Hi again, Angelika!

If I understood correctly, you want the full section on your site with this specific background and it only adds the background for your text, right?

My recommendation is for you to select the List View feature to have a better structural idea on how to use the tool.

From there, you can select the parent element and add the background.

If this background should apply to several blocks, you can even add a group block and add all the blocks as part of it.

    Dear Felipe. Again thank you!

I would say it is half solved.

Yes correct. I want to change the background colour of certain sections. So I went to templates – page and changed the color as you indicated as a test to some random colour some random grey. Yes that works!

If I want to have a new block with a new color I go to duplicate and create a new group. Correct?

What I still do not understand (I created a child theme and I am working in this child theme of TT4 in order not to destroy anything) if I always correctly did the changes in the template. I should only change the page templates correct? How can I see if I did everything right? I am a bit worried that I do/did something wrong and I am about to destroy my child theme.

    Thank you in advance!

Ideally you should use a group block if you want any set of blocks to have a background color together. This will keep things organized, and will help you keep your page’s components in order.

Making changes to the templates in your child theme is okay. If you’re worried about losing changes, there’s a revisions option that you can find in the left panel in the site editor, when you have a template selected.
