Changing background color of a specific element

  • Hi, I created a child theme and edited the css file by adding:

    div#content.site-content {background-color: black;}

    to change the white area above the footer on

    wwww.halalworks.com

    to black. I used the inspect element feature in Chrome to identify the element. However, the change doesn’t work. Suggestions?
