    Dear all,

Changing the automatic email “Your *company name* account has been created!” does not seem to work.

I have created in the child theme “twentyseventeen” the folder: private_html/wp-content/themes/twentyseventeen/woocommerce/emails. In there, I copied the file customer-new-account.php. However, if I change some words in here, the emails don’t change.

The standard email looks as follows:

    Welcome to *name company*

    Hello *username*,

Thanks for creating an account on *name company*. Your username is *username*. You can access your account area to view orders, change your password, and more at: website.com/my-account.

Click here to set your new password.

We look forward to seeing you soon.

Other changes, in /private_html/wp-content/themes/twentyseventeen/woocommerce/checkout and /private_html/wp-content/themes/twentyseventeen/woocommerce/myaccount do work.

    Best regards,

    Anne

    Hi @annewp

It looks like you’ve done everything correctly regarding creating the necessary folders and copying the file.

However, sometimes, because of the cache, the changes may not be visible. Can you head over to WooCommerce → Status → Tools, and do the following:

    • WooCommerce transients – Clear
    • Expired transients – Clear
    • Clear template cache – Clear
    • Capabilities – Reset Capabilities
    • Clear customer sessions -Clear
    • Product lookup tables – Regenerate
    • Regenerate the product attributes lookup table – Regenerate

Next, please clear your browser and server cache and then check again.

For reference, this particular forum is meant for general support with the core functionality of WooCommerce itself. For development and custom coding questions, it’s best to ask for insight related to those on either the WooCommerce Advanced Facebook group or the WooCommerce Community Slack. Many of our developers hang out there and will be able to offer insights into your question. You can also seek help from the following:

I wish I could help more, but hopefully, this gets you going in the right direction to get some further insight/information.
