Changing additional text in client order email

    Hi,
    I once added additional text to the email my customers get after purchasing in the store. And now, I want to change it but I cannot find how to change it. It displays right below the order details (product name and amount) on every email customers get, that has order details. I searched for the text in website files, using String Locator, but it doesn’t find it, except for inside backups. How can I change this text, please help?

    I see that you customized the Processing order email template. To edit this, please go to the following path and make the changes within that file:

    /wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/templates/emails/customer-processing-order.php

    Also, you can find this Email notification under Dashboard > WooCommerce > Processing order.

    thanks for getting back to me.
    Unfortunately I’ve already checked that file and unfortunately this text is not there. There are just some hooks like: woocommerce_email_order_details, and also a line like this:

    `/**

    }

    Could this be it?

    That’s strange. That code you shared is part of the original email template file.

    By any chance, have you added that text under Dashboard > WooCommerce > Processing order?

    Could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

    I can see that you are using the YayMail – WooCommerce Email Customizer plugin, and that’s might be the plugin that you have used to edit that email template.

    Could you go into that plugin and check if you have made any customization to your emails through that plugin?

    Unfortunately, that plugin I installed already after I couldn’t find the way to change the text in email. I hadn’t used that plugin before to change the email templates.

    Well, as the Processing order email template seems to be looking okay and you haven’t use the YaYmail plugin, then, probably, it could be a snippet within your Code Snippet plugin or in your functions.php file that might be doing this modification.

    If you are not able to find anything there, you could try overwriting that template to see if that does some kind of modification. Here is a link that can help with this:

    Thanks, it’s not either in code snippets plugin, nor the functions.php file of the theme. To override the template, do I just upload a new clean file customer-processing-order.php into wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/templates/emails? If yes then it didn’t work, as that’s what I did.

    Well, in this case, the one last thing that I can recommend is to get in touch with a web developer who can log into your site and debug it, or one of the customization experts listed at https://woocommerce.com/customizations/ so that they can help you with that issue.

    A developer has looked at my site, and they were also discombobulated by this issue. And I am not willing to hire a different developer. I think the easiest thing would be to create a new website and only export pages and client data from the old one, do you think that’s a good option?

    Oh, that’s odd! To be honest, that would be my last option.

    In a nutshell, it seems that a custom code or a plugin is overwriting the customer-processing-order email template.

    Just so you know, you can also ask for help by visiting the WooCommerce Facebook group or the #developers channel of the WooCommerce Community Slack. We’re lucky to have a great community of open-source developers for WooCommerce, and many of our developers hang out there, as well.
