I was reviewing my Dashboard and realized that the Account Connection is with a defunct email account. One that has been dead for literally years. How can I change that account? I went to WordPress.com and looked at my account, but didn’t find anyplace that I could change this information. You can change the email address on your WordPress.com account at https://wordpress.com/me/account

Alternatively, you can also connect to a different WordPress.com account by disconnecting Jetpack from WordPress.com at Jetpack > Dashboard > Site Connection > Manage Site Connection in your site’s Dashboard, then connecting again when prompted to the desired account.

OK, @macmanx, I tried to disconnect and got this error message.

    Sorry abut that!

Please try deleting Jetpack specifically from the Plugins section of your blog’s Dashboard.

This will clear out Jetpack’s settings, and it should work properly after a reinstall.
