Can I change a gallery shortcode so that the shortcode on my local development site matches the shortcode on the live site.

    At the moment:
    s/c on live = [pgc_simply_gallery id=”306″]
    s/c on local = [pgc_simply_gallery id=”336″]

This is the ID of the post, there is a very small chance that it will be the same on two different sites.

Thanks. That makes sense. Can the ID be manually changed. I use desktopserver and If the ID can be the same in a gutenberg block than I can push the block onto the live site with WPsitesync. At the moment I cannot do that becuase the shortcode would be wrong. I know I can go ont to the live site anyway but was looking for a way that would ensure no conflict when “pushing” content.

By the way. I think Simply is vary good. I have used other gallery s/w and nothing is as fast and effective.

Unfortunately at the moment there is no possibility to edit the shortcode.

    Try version 2.3.5.
I’ve added the ability to create a shortcode to use the gallery post Slug (this is a risky practice), this should help you identify multiple sites.
