Changing @2x filename

It looks like either Offload S3 or Amazon is changing the name of my @2x files to use the html equivalent, so:
https://s3.amazonaws.com/vizualpromo/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/[email protected]
is being changed to:
https://s3.amazonaws.com/vizualpromo/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/vizual_promo_logo%402x.png
Thus retina.js and or WP Retina 2x won’t work as the filenames have to have the “@2x” in them.
Anyone know of a way around this?
