Changes viewable in Customize but not on web page

I am using Easy Google Fonts on a WP website. When I go to Customize to change the fonts, I can see the changes with no issues but as soon as I preview the page it defaults to a generic font and all the changes I made are not showing up. I have used this in the past on a different website and had no issues. Am I missing something? Any help would be greatly appreciated
