changes to widget font

    I am new to WordPress and am now looking after a site set up by somebody else. I have tried to make changes to a widget text font in the style sheet. I enter the new settings and update the file. However when I open the page there has been no change. I look at the coding in Firebug and my new coding is not there. However returning to the style page in WordPress editor my new coding is still there. What am I doing wrong!!

    Hi Megan
    I have just solved the problem. When I shut down my computer and then came back to the page the changes had happened. Not sure why but I now know what to do.
    I’m still learning WordPress, Thanks for your interest.
