We need a table of contents to display as a sidebar with our pdf Fact Book. You show examples of this working with your plugin on your web site.

Ideally, we’d love to have the table of contents generate automatically from the table of contents inserted in the PDF. That doesn’t seem to work with your plugin, but if you can help us make that work, we would love it.

Instead, since the plugin doesn’t pull in the TOC automatically, we entered an outline by hand. It took a long time. Sometimes it displays, sometimes it doesn’t. Right now it doesn’t. Why is that?

We would like the table of contents (outline) to display always, and we would like the pages to be in the right order. The plugin software moved the entries on p. 27 down to the end, and although we move them back to where they go, your plugin keeps them at the end. I’m not sure the plugin is saving changes to the outline. Can you help us make that work?

As mentioned, the plugin doesn’t seem to recognize the outline anymore. We have tried both Safari and Chrome, same result.

Can you help? We promised our client this functionality, and it would be nice to be able to deliver.

    thanks!

    Hi,

We see an outline on the right side. And it’s working.

    1.

to have the table of contents generate automatically from the table of contents inserted in the PDF

That PDF doesn’t have Table of Content defined. No PDF viewer is displaying any TOC. Plugin can only display the Table of content that is available in the PDF, that is defined as Table of Content. It doesn’t auto-create any Table of Content. It has to be created before you upload it into the plugin.

    2.

we entered an outline by hand. It took a long time. Sometimes it displays, sometimes it doesn’t. Right now it doesn’t. Why is that?

When we look at the page, there is table of content opened.

    3.

We would like the table of contents (outline) to display always

It’s already like that, You just need to enable AutoOpen outline setting.

    4.

and we would like the pages to be in the right order.

Order is taken same that you set in the outline builder. It won’t arrange them based on page numbers automatically. That order is set manually. So what you set it what you see.

Most probable issue is you are having cache issues. Disable cache plugin, if any, and try it. Test in incognito ode(private mode).

    Hi again,

We’re not seeing a table of contents (visible, clickable outline) on the book where we manually created one. Also, where we manually created an outline, we’re unable to save changes where we’ve moved a heading up or down in the list. We need the outline to be editable if we’re to use it at all.

Do you have any thoughts on that? This is the link:

Oops, can you delete that link? That shouldn’t be public.

    Hi,

    The outline was there before.
    But not today.

We have not found such issues so far. Can you share some screenshot of any error messages it displays?

What I’m seeing is that the table of contents is not displayed even though it is set to display the outline always under Outline settings. The plugin appears to ignore that setting.

Where I have manually entered the outline, it appears to shuffle the order of subheadings seemingly at random, and doesn’t save changes if you try to fix the order by dragging a heading up or down in the list. This isn’t helpful.

There are no error messages. The plugin just does what it does, right or wrong. I can’t get it to display the table of contents no matter what I do (clear cache, resave settings, change browsers, etc) although sometimes, for no apparent reason, it does display… It doesn’t provide any reason why it’s doing what it’s doing.

    Hi,

We think you are talking abut the links in page 2.

Table of contents (outline) refers to outline of PDF document.

The links in page 2 doesn’t work because they are Premium feature.

    Try your PDF at :
    https://dearflip.com/pdf-viewer/

And check if they ar working.

    Best Regards,
    DearHive
