For starters, my URL is https://funjoelsisrael.com

I made a number of changes to my (still brand new) blog over a few days. I changed the background color from grey to blue, rearranged and added widgets, added a plugin for StatCounter and set it up, etc. Everything was fine for a few days, and suddenly now I see that the entire site has reverted to a prior version, from before all of my changes.

The background color is grey again. Widgets have returned to their prior setup. Plugin is no longer installed.

I have cleared my cache, so the problem is not that I am looking at a cached version of the site. Additionally, the problem is not just on my blog itself, because the changes are apparent in my WordPress admin site as well.

Firstly, why did this happen? WordPress issue or issue at my hosting company/server?

Secondly, is there anything I can do to recover all of this? That’s a LOT of lost hours!

Thanks much in advance. Please help! ??

Seems as if it may have been a server issue. At the very least, it was recoverable via hosting company who restored a prior saved version.
