Changes to functions.php not showing when AMP enabled

I added some code to functions.php to hide the text “Category:” on my category pages (not in the URL, just on the title of the page). When this plugin is enabled, that code is ignored. As soon as I deactivate AMP, the code works.

Any ideas on how to fix that?
