Hi there. Love the concept. Just a question:

Is this made for a specific theme? I’m wondering because I tried it with three different themes and it seems to immediately change the style on activation. So if I want to use it to change a few small things I would first have to work backwards to get back to what I started with and then add the changes I wanted. Is this correct, or should I only be using it with the Sample Child Theme from studiopress?

I’ve tried this with several different themes from StudioPress now and it changes them all. The only one that it seems to work with is the default theme.

Same here. It changed my header and everything for Remobile Pro. It’d be better if it changed what you request it to change only.

    Hey guys,

Currently it’s setup to replace the Genesis parent theme stylesheet or the Sample Child theme. So yes, it basically reloads most of the default styles which will mess with the layout and style of Premium child themes. Ideally, the future of the plugin is to have only styles you want changed loaded, and not all the defaults. Working out some bugs with null values, but it’s definitely on the table. That, and instant javaScript previews for most styles…

It gets complex to accommodate all the Premium child themes having different media queries & layouts, etc, so for right now its safe to use it with just the Genesis theme or your custom child theme based off of the Sample Child theme.

Developer: can you add a concise version of your last message as a warning or disclaimer on the plugin homepage? The way it is written now indicates that this plugin will work with any Genesis theme when it doesn’t. I’m a Genesis child theme developer and I’ve had a client come through assuming this plugin would work with one of my themes. Needless to say, it doesn’t, and the client is confused and left with an eyesore of a website.

Sorry about and confusion with the plugin description. I updated it so it clearly states that it only works with the Genesis theme and Sample Child theme (or custom themes based off the Sample Child Theme). Thanks.

Nope – This is still not clear. The first line should say “For use on Genesis Sample Child Theme only”

Would have saved a couple of hours.
