changes not taking effect

Do your changes still show up in the menu editor, or does the order get reset back to the default when you save the menu? How about other changes, like renaming menus or adding new menu items?

Also, are you using any other menu editing plugins? Usually AME doesn’t conflict with other plugins, but if you have two plugins that are both trying to enforce different menu settings, you can get strange results.
