• I have just started using WordPress this week. I have seen demos on how to use , and am pretty decent at figuring out software myself, but when I go to my wp-admin page and attempt to customize my site, none of the changes appear either on the preview page or the webpage itself. When I first created the site a few days ago, I selected a theme for the page. That theme took with no problems. I tried to change the theme roughly 24 hours ago, and the side menu with all the editing options says that the theme has been updated, but the preview and the actual site show no change. I also attempted to add a header image to the site, and the exact same issue occurred. The side menu says the changes have been made, but they do not appear.

Are there any tips for fixing this issue?

    Thank you,
    Matt

  • Which theme are you using? Are you using the Customize option? Or using the theme’s own customization page?

I’m trying to use the Magazine Express and using the “Customize Your Site” option on the WordPress dashboard.

I just made one or two changes that appeared, but others did not. It also looks like the theme itself hasn’t changed to the Magazine Express despite saying it has. This leaves me wondering if the problem may not be specifically related to trying to change the theme.
