    Hello,

Yesterday I made some very minor changes to my website’s footer – literally just added a link to our Nextdoor profile and changed the name of our professional email address to the phrase “Email us”. But 24 hours have passed and those changes are still not visible on the live website. They do however appear when the website is opened in the Elementor preview/editor version.

Before, any changes that I made to the header or footer would instantly appear on the live website. Why could this be? Is there any way to fix this?

    Many thanks!

    Hi @ruruuu99 ,

It sounds like your changes are saved but not reflected on the live website due to a caching issue. Here are a few steps you can take to resolve this:

    1. Clear Cache:
      • If you’re using any caching plugin (like WP Rocket, W3 Total Cache, etc.), clear the cache from your WordPress dashboard.
      • Also, clear your browser cache or try accessing the site in incognito mode to rule out any local caching.
      • If your hosting provider offers server-side caching (like WP Engine or SiteGround), clear that as well through your hosting dashboard.
      • If clearing the cache doesn’t work, try temporarily disabling your caching plugin and checking the live site to see if the changes reflect.
    2. Regenerate CSS in Elementor:
      • Go to Elementor > Tools in your WordPress dashboard, and click the Regenerate CSS button. This will force Elementor to rebuild the styles and can often resolve display issues like this.

If none of the above helps, there may be an issue with how your site’s footer is being saved or deployed. It might be possible that you have saved the changes in the Draft Mode due to which the changes are not reflected on the frontend.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you need further assistance.

    Kind Regards!
