• Hi there,

am glad to having this forum. I am new here and pretty new to WordPress development and say hello to everybody.

    My question:
Tried to change the format or design of the following email-template:
    /wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/templates/emails/customer-on-hold-order.php

But if testing it with a test-order, nothing changes.
It seems there is a cache or something similar holding me back from actually affecting changes to that file.

May it has to do with the Loco Translate (in german) I use?

I want to change the style for the field of the “bank account holder” in the email. Since it appears in a H3-header and not as for example the “bankname”, “account number”, “IBAN”, … as a LI-list-item.

Where can I change that effectively?

    Many thanks!

    Hi @soezkan

If you’re using a child theme, which is suggested in order to make your changes upgrade-safe, there may be a file there if you’re editing the file that’s in the WooCommerce folder.

Please have a look at our documentation on template overrides here as it may shed some light on this for you.

    Thanks for your reply.

What you suggested I already did. But the changes are not appearing.
It really seems they’re not affecting the actual template-php-file (in /wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/templates). Since no matter what file I change, the output (namely the received email) always remains the same, when testing it.

Are they saved somehow in the database or so?

    Many thanks for further support!

    Bests
