changes done to the child theme css not showing

Please go to our support form at https://www.lilaeamedia.com/about/contact where you can send more information about your site. In particualar I would like to see the following:

1. A screenshot of the main parent/child tab
2. The HTML source of a rendered page from your website using the child theme.

If styles are being struck through in the inspector, then another stylesheet (probably the parent theme) is loading after the child theme stylesheet, or a plugin is overriding the child theme styles.

In any case all of this can be resolved with more information.

As for the stylesheet handling option not working, can you provide more information (is it not opening, not saving your selection, etc)?

thank you for replying
i think the problem is resolved because once i activated the child theme the changes i made in css and in template files have taken effect ,for some reason the changes didn’t show in preview …..?do you have any idea why ???
any way i read the suggested articles and now i fully understand how child themes work thank you very much
and regarding the stylesheet handling option :it shows as a dropdown menu but when i click it ,it doesn’t open and no options are showing as shown in the picture

If the toggles are not opening then there is a javascript conflict of some kind.

Try right-clicking the toggle, select “Inspect Element” and switch to the console. Click the toggle again and copy and paste any javascript errors that appear.
