Changed “WordPress adress” – Site dosen’t work anymore (can’t get to “wp-admin”

    No i have realy done something realy stupid and destroyd my hole website ??

    On my website https://truemoneymaker.net , where WP was installed in the mail directory (/), i wanted to have a site before the WP site that redirected to the WP site, the reason for this is that i wanted to have a add that everyone had to see before they was redirected to the main page. But when i tried to make this work i did something very stupid;
    I changed the WordPress adress (under Options – General) from https://truemoneymaker.net to https://truemoneymaker.net/index.htm (where i had the redirecting page with the add).

    So now the site just dosen’t work, the mail site ( https://truemoneymaker.net ) look terrible and the admin area dosen’t work, so i can’t change the setting.

    I have tried to add a copy of the “wp-admin” folder in a folder called “index.htm”, but it didn’t work ??

    WTF should i do now? How can i get into my options and change the settings back?

    Stupid as i am i dod not take any backup before messing with the settings, so if you can’t help me i am in big trouble.

    Pleas help me, this site is realy importent for me.

    Silly people! Don’t be afraid of the search here, it really is rather useful.

    Try this to fix your problem: https://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/site-url/

    Remember that those URI values shouldn’t point to fantasy locations.

    I have now installed it, but what password should i use to log in to the phpMyAdmin ?

    The WP password or the password to my ftp-account dosen’t work.

    Neither do the password i configured in the config.inc.php file

    Edit: Neither do the password from my database (the one specified in the wp-config.php file)

    Pleas help me…

    Where are you hosted that you had to install phpmyadmin yourself? You shouldn’t stay with a host like that for a moment… Every decent host nowadays offers phpmyadmin in their site admin panel.

    Try the username / password that you specified for the db connection in your wp-config.php file.

    I get this message (whatever username/password i use…)

    “Error
    #1045 – Access denied for user: ‘admin@localhost’ (Using password: YES)”

    So it dosen’t work with the password from the wp-config file either…

    I got it working now!
    Didn’t know that the password in the config.inc.php file had to be the same as the one in the wp-config.php file…
    (I realy need to learn some more about php, MySQL and how all this work….)
