I realized that the General Settings > Time Zone was still set to the default: UTC-0 instead of the time zone this site is in: UTC-4 because all events in the feed were 4 hours later than they should be — I changed that Setting > Reading, Saved it, and cleared all caches (SG Cache, browser cache, hosting server Memcache and Dynamic Cache… even opened in a completely separate browser that had never been to that site before). Still showing as 4 hours behind in all instances — even after I removed the Google API in the hopes of clearing out the system by then reapplying it — no luck in any browser.

Example: Tuesday May 30 is NOT 11PM — should be 7PM…. Please advise. Thanks in advance!

What timezone is your computer set at?

EST (UTC-4)… I fail to see what my computer’s time zone setting has to do with a WordPress > General Settings > Timezone for a client site that happens to be in my same time zone? I changed it from UTC-0 (the default) to UTC-4 many days ago when I saw the 4 hours behind calendar times. They stayed 4 hours behind no matter what I’ve done to try and “reset” the feed/content. Currently, my Timezone states I’m on: Local time is 2024-05-30 14:28:52. The calendar still reflects: Universal time is 2024-05-30 18:30:40. I even Uninstalled PGC — then reinstalled and activated it, but it retained the Google API field content… thoughts?

FullCalendar by default renders times in your local timezone, which the browser gets from the computer’s timezone. So changing your computer’s timezone should change the display of the calendar.

Try using this shortcode argument: fc_args='{"timeZone":"local"}' and that may clear things up.

Nice! That did the trick. ?? Thanks @lbell — not sure if that is a known issue at FullCalendar or not, but may be worth noting with them if you can? It seems that your statement: “FullCalendar by default renders times in your local timezone, which the browser gets from the computer’s timezone.” …. was not actually the case. Rather, it was definitely pulling from General Settings > Timezone and when I changed from the default: UTC-0 to the local time zone: UTC-4 (Detroit) after the calendar was in place and pulling times for events, it refused to change. That entire process, my computer’s Timezone was (and has been for many years!) set to EST. So clearly it was not pulling from the computer’s time zone. If they need further proof, I can remove the shortcode argument you provided for me to give them visual proof and they are welcome to connect directly if they wish to address it further. Thanks again!
