• Under general settings I deleted the word blog at the end of both url fields. Now I can’t log into WP at all and the site has disappeared. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

  • Yeah that can cause such issue, if you know how to access your wordpress database
    – Logged in to your phpmyadmin admin panel
    – Click in the wordpress database
    – browse the wp_options table
    – Look for the option_name “siteurl” and “home”
    – Simple edit their content to their original values

    That should work

Not sure how to find the database, but I’m looking into it. Thanks

I found the database. I changed the “home” and “site url” back to their original settings. Now the home page is restored. But when I click on any other link or page, I still get the 404 error page.

It can be due to the permalink settings.

Please go to the Permalink Settings of the dashboard and check the settings you are using.

If you are using any other settings other than the “Default” make sure you have got the “htaccess” file writable in your home directory.

But you can revert to the “Default” permalink at first and check if the other links are working or not.
