changed url in settings panel now unable to access anything
-
Hi. Okay, I blew it. Everything was working. I have the blog domain frame forwarded to a subdirectory of my hosted website. I _was_ using the hosted domain name and the subdirectory path as both the url and the address in the other box just above or below that in the SETTINGS panel.
Then I changed one or both to the blog domain alone, figuring it would have to frame-forward to the subdirectory on the hosted domain. Instead I lost access to everything and got a message saying The requested URL /[subdirectory name]/[subdirectory name]/ was not found on this server. (That’s not a typo.)
I changed the directory name via ftp and re-uploaded newly-unzippedl wp install files in a new directory with the same name as the _old_ directory. IT asked for the wp-config file, which I uploaded (same one that had worked before). Same story, same error msg. I tried typing in [hosteddomain]/[blog subdirectory]/wp-admin but the address bar then shows me”https://[hosteddomain]/wp-login.php?redirect_to=%2F%5Bblogsubdirectory%5D%2Fwp-admin%2F” and the error msg “No inp[ut file specified.”
I don’t have a clue what’s happening–and thank anyone who can help!
John
