• hi,

just changed from default theme to pop-blue.. but get this error now upon viewing page..

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: the_search_query() in /home/francesb/public_html/home/wp-content/themes/pop-blue/searchform.php on line 2

    url: https://francesblog.com/home/

how I changed: since am hosting on my own server, downloaded the theme, unzipped, then ftp’d entire theme folder to where other themes are, then chose new theme the normal way where you select theme…

    thank you….

I fixed this by copying code from searchform.php in default template to searchform.php in new template…

but now get lots of errors in sidebar… what is going on here??????????

    url: https://francesblog.com/home/

    thank you…

    what is going on here??????????

Honestly? What’s going on here is that you are messing around with things that you don’t understand. You should read first the documentation/manual and get a better understanding of how things work.

Messing with twenty different things in the same time and posting about all of them with zillion question marks (‘what’s going on’) – doesn’t help.
    Patience, learning, try and error…

point taken, I’m new at blog-editing.. but you neglected to mention what I’m doing wrong.. I did follow all instructions when switching to new theme…

    thank you…
