• Hello,

If any one can help I will greatly appreciate it.

My www.remarpro.com site is being hosted by a company called UK2.net. The cpanel or control panel where my site is hosted, has a section called File Manager, after getting some bad advice I changed the name of one of the files. Like I said, this file is located in the control panel where my site is hosted. And now when I go to the front page of my domain, I get this error message:

In the HTML comments, this page contains configuration information that the FrontPage Explorer and FrontPage Editor need to communicate with the FrontPage server extensions installed on this web server. Do not delete this page.

My website should display, not this error message. UK2 said they couldn’t help me because this issue falls under customization. I have erased the database and installed WordPress again but that doesn’t solve the problem.

From looking at the error message, does anybody know the name of the original file, so that I can rename it? I should have written it down, but I didn’t. Please help!

    Thank you,
    Camila.

  • Frankly I think you should go back to UK2 and remind that them that correcting this error is part of what you are paying them for. If this file is that critical, it should be configured so that you cannot delete or rename it, so it’s really down to a poor setup on their part and they should now rectify the problem.

I really hoped that UK2 had gotten beyond the point where posts like this one were needed. Perhaps they need reminding about it…

    Thanks Esmi for your reply.

I see your point. I will be calling them on Monday guns blazing. If they don’t help me, my site is useless. It’s so depressing.

If anyone else had had a similar experience to me and knows what I’m talking about please help me.

    Thank you,
    Camila.
