Changed site URL, now locked out of WP-Admin

  • I had a website that I moved to a new host. The nameservers were pointing to the old site, until this morning…

    The URL where I had all the files uploaded was something like this:
    https://67.15.243.3/~user

    Now that I have changed the nameservers, the URL has changed to be like this: https://www.thedomain.com

    I did the steps under ‘Edit Wp Config’ where I defined the new URL… This seems to have fixed the site URL.. But now, I am not able to login to the website… Are there other steps that I missed?

    and it works right after I typed all this out!… ??

    I am having this same problem… did the fix as described — and i get the following error when i attempt to log in admin at https://countrysongsonline.com/wp-admin/

    error here…

    Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/content/c/o/u/countrysongs/html/wp-config.php:3) in /home/content/c/o/u/countrysongs/html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 890

    —– thats it and i cannot log on…
    using godaddy hosting
