Changed Site URL and everything is gone

    I changed my site url and now the website isn’t functioning. I tried changing the site URL and home in wp_options within myPHPadmin and it still isn’t working. I’m sure there is an easy fix that I’m overlooking but I cant figure it out.

    Any help would be appreciated!

  • Have you changed the in both tables in MySQL?

    Cleared cache? Go through .htaccess again.

    I have cleared my cache with no luck but haven’t gone through .htaccess. How do you go about doing that? Is that in myphpadmin or the file manager?

    Through your FTP in root folder. Where wp-settings.php file is uploaded.

    Thanks for your help but unfortunately I can’t get it to work. My site was easy to build so I am just going to delete it and start over, BUT….

    Is there a way I can change the url before I start building? See below:

    My url is setup like https://www.example.com/home. When I go to https://www.example.com, it tells me my site is under construction. I want people to be able to just type in https://www.example.com and get to my site. Seems like such a simple fix but its been a huge pain!!!

    FTP into your site (or use whatever file management application your host provides) & delete the index.html file in your domain’s root folder.

    Upload wordpress files on root and install
