• So I am trying to move everything from my old website (www.lifewithchristine.co.uk) over to my new site (www.chronicallychristine.com) and STUPIDLY (yes you know what I am going to say) I have changed them on the settings>general on my site.

Now I cannot get back in to “fix” it. I am not a very confident user. I am self hosted with tso host and they have restored to yesterdays backup but the problem is still not fixed. I have no backup (again I SUCK!) so I am trying to find my wp-config.php to rectify this but I don’t even know where to begin. I have years of work on my original site and now its all gone

Any advice would be so so grateful!

    Thanks
    Christine

  • Using FTP or your web-host’s cPanel or whatever file management application your host provides, access phpMyAdmin on your host, then find your DB, there check the wp_options Table (Note: The table prefix of wp_ may be different if you changed it when installing), and make sure siteurl field and home field are correct.

I have been trying to access the phpmyadmin but I cannot log in

I have selected the file manager, selected the text file under wp-config.php and am using the login details from there to try and access the phpmyadmin but to no avail

    It is extremely frustrating

    Thank you for your help

Suggestion: contact your webhost to ask their support team for specific guidance to locate and access the area that contains your database.
