changed permalinks, how to rebuild database

  • I changed my permalinks recently to list only the name of the post. Previously I had the date for each post listed. But I have hundreds of links now which are broken in my sitemap. How can I update the format of all these links.

  • what kind of sitemap are u using ?

    there is plugins to generate sitemaps , you can use those and they will generate a new sitemap for you .

    you dont have to touch your database …

    I’m using the plugin, but I changed the permalink structure, so the old ones are not linking now.

    I think I’m going to change the permalinks back. I’ve heard they are stroed in the htaccess file and shouldn’t be messed with.
