I tried to find it in the forum, but found nothing.

When WordFence scans my site, it always complains that a few files are not identical to the files in WP storage, such as the wp-config-sample.php. In all of these cases, it’s either a sample file that in my installation are in German, while the WP original is in English, or a checksum.txt file that contains the checksums for these files.

Is there a way to tell WordFence that these files are OK, and not flag them every time WP or the theme updates?

    Thanks in advance

  • Hello Roachware,
yes, after doing a scan you can select “Always ignore this file.” right under the message that indicates a warning. You can consider removing wp-config-sample.php completely since it is not needed on an installed system. (You can always download a new one from www.remarpro.com should you need it).
