Changed domain pointers, WP pages lost

I was testing a wordpress site in a sub folder on my main domain. Once I finished setting everything up, I changed my ‘WordPress Address (URL)’ ( my Dashboard > General> WordPress Address) to my main domain and pointed my root directory to the sub folder in my cpanel.

The redirect worked, but since my pages and images were published in a sub folder, the URL is now lost. Any suggestions or ideas on how to fix this will be much appreciated.

I just changed the domain pointers today. I’m not sure if I need to wait a day or two for these changes to take place. Please let me know. Thank you.
