changed by mistake the main directory. Site keeps showing badly. RewriteBase /

Hi everyone!
I changed the main directory of my wordpress installation by mistake from the admin panel. I wanted to swap a blog page with an home page, but i chose the wronf option.

So I had a 500 error, but I immediately reuploaded the old .htaccess.

Despite my correction the site keeps on showing without images, because teh server is searching them in a not existent root dir.

is it possible that my server is still using the no more existing rules:

RewriteBase /news/
RewriteRule . /news/index.php [L]

that are, indeed from my actual .htaccess

RewriteBase /
RewriteRule . /index.php [L]
